Manipulating digital images of animals in surreal environments, Steve Ouch created the visual wonderland of SteamPotVille, a children’s book with the attention-grabbing power of a magic-eye poster.
While the story of a world turned upside-down is sure to capture any kid’s imagination, it’s the fantastical fish-eye imagery that will keep you (and them) coming back. Each two-page spread is a detail-rich labor of love, with new elements revealing themselves on repeated reads.
Visit SteamPotVille online, become a fan on Facebook, check out Ouch’s other art projects on his website, and buy a copy of the book.

You can also avoid Amazon and contribute to your community by going to Indiebound.org and purchasing the book from a local independent bookstore.
Steam Potville. Not a good choice for a children’s book. Probably going for the Smallville connection, but it’s just too close to being steaming pot(grass) as in boiling/bonging weed, in the cooking meth production. TeaKettleville, even Teapot Ville. Exercise a little generational discretion, before sending a subliminal entendre or not. Tks.
@MA That is the dumbest stretch of a connection I have ever heard.
Yeah MA, boiled joints are the best!
I am actually more amazed at the stretch of a connection re: Indiebound.
I’m with MA. Clearly..this is not a children’s book.
