Is 1990’s weirdest movie, Total Recall, totally making a comeback? Over the weekend, we saw future-shock musician and Paul Verhoeven superfan Dan Deacon introduce and lead a post-screening discussion of the film at the Maryland Film Festival in Baltimore. Now, Jon and Al Kaplan, best known for Silence! The Musical, have created “The Mountains of Mars,” a song they say comes from a larger work called Total Recall: The Musical. Is it really happening? We’re not sure. But for any fan of cheesy sci-fi/action movies, this first video is required viewing.
