Redesigning BP’s Logo to Fit Its Crimes

13

It’s been another big week for BP on the web. The mastermind behind the hilarious fake BP Twitter account was outed. A CNN clip of Bill Nye explaining how “Top Kill” works went viral. And Greenpeace UK, sick of “a company that is up to its neck in the dirtiest oil going” while hiding behind a “nice green logo” is holding a rebranding contest. (Their own version, which briefly graced BP’s corporate headquarters in London, to the right.) Click through to view 10 of our favorite entries from the logo competition pool on Flickr.

That third one is gorgeous. brilliant. (the exploding oil leaking icon)

These are wonderful. The bicycling version is my personal favorite; the designer could make a mint if it were tweaked enough to avoid trademark infringement.

I have a favorite, but love them all.
Very nice work.

These people should be shot for what they have aloud to happen .

Nice Goatse!hahahah!

LOVE THESE, especially the skull, the vomiting bird, and the last retro one.

Ummmmmm…

It takes plenty of Petroleum to make a bicycle.

HAHAH GOATSE!

don’t blame BP for our gluttony of oil…we are all to blame, we are all responsible in this global community…don’t squander this disaster, it’s a wake up call…ride a bike, walk, go solar, recycle, compost…the world is in our hands, it needs us now more than ever to step up and look at our own homes, backyards, garages, towns, spending, consuming, eating, etc…i believe it’s possible, do you?
