It seems that Zane Lowe, a DJ on BBC’s Radio 1, has just premiered the new M.I.A. track “Stepping Up” on his show. And lucky for those of us who aren’t regular listeners, Flavorpill pal Sheena Beaston has uploaded the song to SoundCloud. Of course, faux M.I.A. tunes have been floating around recently, and “Stepping Up” isn’t on the official track list for ///Y/, so don’t say we didn’t warn you. In any case, even if is fake, we’re enjoying it more than “Born Free” or “XXXO.” But it still doesn’t rival our favorite Kala cuts. Listen and decide for yourself after the jump.
