Photo Gallery: Amazing Aerial Photos of Airports

Share:

Over the next few days, whether you’re headed somewhere yourself or picking up tired holiday travelers, you’re probably going to find yourself at an airport — maybe you’re even sitting in one right now. While in the past, we’ve celebrated the interiors of some of the world’s best-designed terminals, thanks to X-planation, an intriguing 2008 series by Hubert Branz that we spotted over on My Modern Met, we’re focusing on the dazzling views from above. Sourcing his images from the Internet, the German artist plays the role of Dr. Frankenstein, stitching together incongruous aerial shots and playing around with perspective to create bizarre, MC Escher-like pieces that will make you slightly dizzy if you stare too hard. Consider popping a Dramamine, and then click through to check out a gallery of Branz’s strange, altered images.
