Looks like Funny or Die is the new Comedy Central testing ground. Earlier this month, we learned that the network was adapting Drunk History as a half-hour series. And now, Scott Aukerman has announced on his Comedy Bang Bang podcast that he just directed a 30-minute episode of Zach Galifianakis’ Between Two Ferns for Comedy Central. Subtitled “A Fairy Tale of New York,” it will include interviews with Jon Stewart, Tina Fey, and Sir Richard Branson, and is scheduled to air May 6th at 8:30pm, in the slot preceding the second annual Comedy Awards. This is mighty exciting news as far as we’re concerned, but two details remain unclear: whether this Between Two Ferns installment will be a standalone special or the first in a series, and if Galifianakis will be interviewing the real Branson or a comedian playing the role of the Virgin mogul.
