"The Female Gaze", Ashly Lovett's new solo show at our favorite pop culture-obsessed L.A. space, Gallery1988, is a remarkable exploration of our (long-overdue) fascination with strong women in popular culture, featuring paintings and drawings spotlighting characters from Game of Thrones, The Terminator, the Alien series, the Star Wars films, the Marvel Cinematic Universe, and many more.
